The Vancouver Province ran a feature story by Ethan Baron called “Asbestos flooding B.C. with a 'steady stream of death'”. The article emphasized the deadly toll that asbestos exposure is having on workers decades after exposure.
The article includes personal stories of asbestos victims and information from WorkSafeBC, UBC researchers, an occupational health & safety specialist (Larry Stoffman, *AREA Fund Trustee), and a BC Cancer Agency oncologist specializing in asbestos-diseases (Dr. Christopher Lee, *AREA Fund Trustee). The story also mentions CanSAV, a clearing house of information to help asbestos victims and their families, and the AREA Fund.
